| The five NEAFC Contracting Parties agree on a coastal state agreement on management of the Norwegian Spring Spawning (Atlanto-Scandian) Herring in 2007 |
| 8 January 2007 the coastal states of Norwegian Spring Spawning (Atlanto-Scandian) Herring, the EU, the Faroe Islands , Iceland , Norway and the Russian federation signed an agreement on the management of this important stock for 2007. It is at present the largest fish stock in the North Atlantic .
The new coastal state agreement means that all major fisheries in the NEAFC Regulatory area are under firm management in 2007. |
